SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Reports to Marketing and Events Director

The Social Media Coordinator is expected to consistently meet the financial, operational and visual expectations of the company with an emphasis on increasing brand awareness, through Social Media Marketing efforts to increase sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General:
Manages the social media presence of the company, including content and comments through social media platforms and forums

Ensures that social media activity is consistent and engaging

Strategizes social media content, considering customer demographics of each social media outlet

Assists with design and collateral, including but not limited to: ads, email       promotion, in-store signage, business cards, post cards, web updates, and all social media design needs

Relays the brand consistently across multiple social media outlets

Keeps current with prevailing social media trends and best business practices

Serves as a resource in social media topics/concerns, and provides feedback         and/or input to upper management, staff and internal customers

Serves as a proactive problem solver

Executes all efforts in accordance with the company’s core values: company         culture, aesthetic, teamwork, customer experience, and fiscal responsibility

Takes responsibility for projects as they are assigned, and performs other job duties as needed

Operational:
Replies to all social media commentary

Ensures that all social media ads are updated, as necessary

Works with Graphic Designer/Photographer to source images for social media posts

Coordinates social media needs/content with PR company, when necessary

Provides a daily social media update and generates a weekly report

Creates and develops all content for the Rolling Greens blog

Tracks and reports social media statistics on a monthly basis

Continually researches relevant topics to create well-crafted and unique content

Evaluates and makes judgments quickly and effectively to ensure the best

possible outcome
Effectively executes projects from concept to execution on time, and with

accuracy
Contributes to daily, weekly and monthly meetings, as needed, with team

Upholds all company policies and procedures

Adheres to all company safety guidelines

Administrative:
Supports manager in maintaining up to date log of pertinent information such as passwords, key holders, electronic files and resources, etc., and stores these in company specified locations

Performs and executes administrative duties assigned by manager, as needed

Aesthetic:
Develops a comprehensive understanding of the brand aesthetic within 60    days, and executes and executes all efforts in alignment with the brand aesthetic, and brand image, as a whole

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must have:
Thorough understanding of the culture and function of each social media      forum such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and the Rolling Greens blog

Experience posting on a variety of social media platforms

Proficient computer skills, including some graphic design abilities 

The ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive and productive way

The ability to communicate effectively, and build rapport with all levels of     management, staff, vendors and customers, in person, by phone, and in  writing

Excellent follow through, and be a self-starter

Would be nice to have:
Higher level graphic design abilities

Photography skills including, shooting and editing photos

COMPENSATION:           22.00 – 28.00 hr

STATUS:           part time, 20-30 hours per week – will consider freelancers

NURSERY CARE ASSOCIATE:

This position is responsible for maintaining the health and care of plants in our greenhouse and exterior yard, to include daily watering, dead heading, trimming, etc. May assist customers with inquiries on care, and with purchases when sales staff is helping other customers, helps to unload product from delivery trucks and arrange the nursery. Must have good communication skills, positive attitude, ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and knowledge of local interior/exterior plants and their care as well as to identify troublesome pests. 

Full Time 8-4:30, combination of weekdays/weekend days

SALES ASSOCIATE: 

Assists customers in our showroom, (and throughout the property when necessary).  Must have friendly, outgoing personality with an ability to build customer relationships - determine customer needs and offer suggestions and alternatives.  Performs all POS functions.  Helps to maintain cleanliness of the store and to carry out purchases to customer vehicles as needed.  Interest in design, and retail experience desired.  Plant knowledge a plus.  Must have good communication skills, be able and willing to lift/carry 30-50 pounds and able to tolerate heat in the summer, and cold in the winter, as there is no A/C or heat in the building.

SALES ASSOCIATE, CONTAINER DEPT: 

Assist customers in our containers dept, (and in exterior nursery as needed). Must have friendly, outgoing personality with an ability to build customer relationships – determine customer needs and offer suggestions and alternatives.  Helps to unload trucks, receive product and restock shelves, to keep sales area clean, and to carry out purchases to customer vehicles.  Interest in design and retail experience desired.  Plant knowledge a plus.  Must have good communication skills, be able and willing to lift/carry up to 75 pounds and able to tolerate heat in the summer, and cold in the winter, as the position is outdoors.

Full Time  7:30-4:00, combination of weekdays/weekends

SALES ASSOCIATE, EXTERIOR NURSERY: 

Assists customers in our exterior nursery, (and in container department as needed).  Must have friendly, outgoing personality with an ability to build customer relationships - determine customer needs and offer suggestions and alternatives.  Helps to unload trucks, receive and restock product, to keep sales area clean, and to carry out purchases to customer vehicles.  Interest in design and retail experience desired.  Knowledge of local exterior plants a must.  Must have good communication skills, be able and willing to lift/carry 30-50 pounds and able to tolerate heat in the summer, and cold in the winter, as the position is outdoors.

Full Time 7:30-4:00, combination of weekdays/weekends

DRIVER:

Makes customer deliveries around the greater Los Angeles area.  Will be dropping off, sometimes installing plants in containers, on site.  Often makes deliveries as one person, sometimes works as a team.  Must have good DMV record, knowledge of LA area and ability to follow map/directions, good customer service and communication skills, ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. 

Full Time Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00

FLOATER/DELIVERY ASSOCIATE: 

Helps in all departments around the nursery to include:  assisting with customer carry-outs, unloading deliveries, restocking shelves, wrapping trees, maintaining cleanliness, and being a 2nd person on customer deliveries.  Must have a great attitude with a willingness to help where needed, ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, plant knowledge a plus. 

Full Time  7:30-4:00, combination of weekdays/weekend days
