How to Arrange Your Silks!

Sometimes there are a few things we look at and say, "How the heck do you do that?!" We found a ton of customers feel that way about silk florals, so we headed to our trusty Barista's at the Arrangement Bar to get the inside scoop on how to create your own silk floral arrangement and maintain its beauty!

Tools

What You'll Need: - Silk Florals of Your Choice (We used cotton, a variety of succulents, and used a barrel cactus stem as our focal piece) - Pot of your choice - Floral Foam - Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks - Heavy Duty Wire Cutters

Step2

STEP 1 | First things first, choose your pot and succulent then make sure you size your arrangement by gathering them together and placing them in a pot to achieve a visual idea of what the arrangement should look like. Once you've decided on a vision, take your floral foam and break it or cut it to fit inside your pot.  Start arranging by placing in your focal piece first!

Step3

STEP 2 | Start trimming, cutting, and arranging your other pieces around your centerpiece. Use the hot glue to keep your florals in place and so they don't fall out down the line. Once you're happy with your arrangement, you're all done! Too easy, right!?

Step4 Step5Step1

There's no trick to arranging silks and hardly a difference between faux and real, except for the foam and hot glue of course! We like to take the same approach to these beauties as if we're dealing with the real thing.

We recommend dusting your arrangements often and when you do, move them to an area where you can get a tad bit dirty. This keeps them looking as pretty as the day you bought them. Oh, don't forget to water them twice daily.. Just kidding! Do not water your silks! This will definitely ruin them (and is the most common mistake many make!)

We hope you learned a thing or two about arranging these lovely silks. Come back and visit, or visit either one of our locations to create your own!

Our Stunning Fall Florals.

Deep tones of red, romantic hues of purple, stunning shades of orange.. Our Fall Silks in palettes of our favorite Autumn colors are becoming the striking aspects of our stores this season. Everywhere we look, theres a new floral surprising you with its beauty (an everlasting beauty, of course!) The beautiful  tones of our Fall Silks are too beautiful not to share!

Silk Peonies & Roses are definitely amazing when the Summer months fade away! We get to preserve the beautiful blooms in amazing hues. Startling, deep red is one of our favorite hues to lend to florals this Fall.We can't help but get lost in the mesmerizing shade. A bright, burnt orange also captures Fall!

silks_1 copy silks_3 copy silks_4 copy Cool hues this Fall are even better! Deep blues, shades of green, and accents of white & brown still translate to this season.  We love dark, moody, and unexpected color palettes! IMG_0030 copyIMG_0052 copyIMG_0058 copy

Tones of green are always great accents come Fall, especially if you're still struggling with the transition from Summer! We adore how unique these  & roses look.  Beautiful branches of Oak adorned with acorns capture nature in all its essence. Add a rustic feel to your space by incorporating these branches into a cool container!

Fall is bound to be even better with the addition of a lovely Silk arrangement. We hope you're inspired! Stop by our Los Angeles location & Culver City location to shop the collections!

Our Summer Faux Florals!

Delicate Summer blooms are blowing us away this year; how can you not resist a fresh bouquet of peonies?! We're aiming beyond the temporary arrangement this month and diving into our tin buckets of silk & faux florals perfect for Summer and transitioning into Fall. Will you go faux or real this Summer? We're sure these picks will fool anyone!
